FAYETTEVILLE YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE CODE OF CONDUCT

 

 

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support at all times.

 

I will remember that children participate to have fun, and that the game is for youths, not adults.

 

I nor my child will engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent.

 

I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning.

 

My child and I will respect the officials and their authority during games.

 

I will not confront nor distract coach at any time during games.

 

I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games.

 

I will do my best to assure my child is on time and attend every practice and game that (s)he can, and, and will notify my coaches if I cannot.  I understand that poor attendance for practices may result in less playing time than others with better attendance.

 

I understand that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines I will be subject to disciplinary action levied by the Fayetteville Youth Basketball League Board of Directors that could include but is not limited to the following:

 

• 1st offense: Verbal warning and notification to parent(s)

• 2nd offense: Player(s) removed from current game and suspended from one additional game

• 3rd offense:  Player(s) removed from Fayetteville Youth Basketball League
